For decades, the legendary Save Muny Forever Green Tournament has been a beloved tradition raising vital funds and awareness for Austin’s most sacred public golf course and endangered green space.
This year we’re raising the stakes with a new name, a brand-new trophy, and extra-special festivities to mark the occasion. Will you and your team be the first to win the Muny Cup?

Registration opens Friday, February 13 at 10 AM!
Who: Friends and Supporters of Save Muny, the campaign to save Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin, Texas.
What: 4 Person Scramble, awards celebration and party!
When: Friday May 8, 2026, 8AM & 1PM shotgun starts. Awards Ceremony begins at 5PM. Registration includes tickets to The 19th Hole Party to follow.
Where: Historic Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin, Texas.
Why: The future of historic Lions Municipal Gold Course is still uncertain. The Austin community is coming together to send a message that saving this historic green space from development is the 'highest and best use' of the land. Event proceeds benefit The Muny Conservancy, a non-profit formed to preserve, restore and protect this iconic, recreational green space for future generations, and to keep Muny affordable and accessible to everyone.
Forever Foursome Lottery Information
Due to extremely high demand and limited availability, the “Forever Foursome” teams for the 2026 Muny Cup will be offered through a random lottery system.
This approach ensures a fair opportunity for all interested players to enter the tournament while allowing us to prioritize fundraising in support of Muny’s future.
Lottery entry opens Friday, Feb 13 at 10 AM
Lottery closes Wednesday, February 18 at 10 AM
Selected teams will be notified that afternoon
Teams not selected will be placed on a priority waitlist and notified if additional spots become available

*Sponsorships available on a first come, first served basis. A 25% deposit is due at time of commitment and payment must be made in full by Friday, May 1, 2026. No refunds, rain or shine. Please make checks payable to The Muny Conservancy. The Muny Conservancy is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, tax ID #84-2599950.
