The 19th Hole Party Returns!

The 19th Hole Party is back! The Muny Conservancy is thrilled to announce the return of “the best community party of the year”. The 19th Hole Party celebrates the past, present, and future of golf in Austin. All event proceeds benefit our non-profit organization working to preserve and renovate Lions Municipal Golf Course for future generations.

The year 2024 is a milestone because we are celebrating the 100^th anniversary of Lions Municipal Golf Course. Established in 1924 as Austin’s first municipal golf course, Muny was intended by its founders to provide a local and inclusive golf experience. Today, our beloved Muny remains a treasured urban green space recognized as a nationally significant civil rights historical site. The course is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as one of “America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places”. Our city is in danger of losing this civil rights landmark and priceless central Austin green space to development. But, Muny may still be saved with your support!
